Underfloor heating traces its origins to the 1st century BCE, when Romans developed the concept of utilizing floors for heat distribution. Uniform temperature distribution provided comfort that represented luxury in that era.
From ancient rome to modern solutions
The hypocaust system – Roman underfloor heating – was implemented in bathhouses and villas as one of the most innovative technical solutions of its time. Hot air circulated beneath floors and within walls, delivering unprecedented thermal comfort. However, due to high implementation costs, only wealthy Romans or public thermae could afford such installations. What once constituted a privilege for the few has become commonplace and represents one of the most popular choices in contemporary construction. For us, this served as inspiration for creating a modern training facility at TIA headquarters in Przeworsk – a place where history meets the future.
Educational space integrating theory with practice
Our showroom demonstrates how ancient concepts evolved into modern practice. Visitors will find exhibitions featuring traditional wet screed underfloor systems, modern dry screedless systems, wall heating, and ceiling cooling systems. This diversity of installations enables practical exploration of the complete spectrum of technologies and acquisition of current, trend-compliant knowledge applicable in daily client interactions.
Knowledge ready for practical application
Our objective is to present participants with available solutions while teaching systematic selection and installation of systems. We aim for acquired knowledge to translate into informed decisions when choosing products – those that have tangible impact on installation time, quality, and system durability.
